Edgenuity Celebrates Digital Learning Day 2015 with Video Contest Award Winners

Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, is celebrating Digital Learning Day 2015 by announcing the winners of its third-annual video contest, highlighting stories of online and blended learning success from partner schools and districts across the country. Grand prize winner Webb City High School in Missouri was awarded a $5,000 technology grant, with second place Henrico County, Virginia School District and third place Village Green Virtual Charter School in Rhode Island receiving software licenses courtesy of Edgenuity to extend online and blended learning solution capabilities to additional students.

Webb City High School’s winning video showcases how Edgenuity’s personalized learning approach can help meet the diverse, unique needs of every student. WCHS Alternative School Teacher Jackson Boyer says that with Edgenuity he can, “Customize [his students’] classes specifically to work in the areas where they need to improve so they can be successful, walk across that stage in May and get their diploma.”

Additional contest winner highlights include:

  •     Village Green Virtual Charter School’s entry shows how Edgenuity’s individualized learning program, which is being used as the primary instructional tool in place of textbooks, creates a focused learning environment for students. Edgenuity also provides an effective way for teachers to monitor student progress.
  •     Henrico County, Virginia School District’s submission demonstrates how Edgenuity helps each student excel regardless of their unique learning style. Henrico County shares personal success stories of students who have used Edgenuity to help achieve their academic goals.
