Stevens & Tate Marketing was awarded with a 2014 International Davey Awards for creative excellence in retail brand packaging design this year. The Silver Davey Award was for the redesign of a private label product brand carried in national Walgreen’s stores.

Stevens & Tate Marketing was honored for its outstanding work again this past year, receiving an International Davey Award for Creative Design in Packaging and Branding for a Private Label Consumer Goods Product.

The Lombard, Illinois advertising agency was honored with a Silver Davey award for its redesign of packaging for “Living Solutions™”—an owned brand of Walgreen Co. Stevens & Tate has been working with the national drugstore chain (headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois) for over four years to help build their in-store private label brands with a stronger and more cohesive presence.

The Living Solutions brand encompasses thousands of skus within multiple categories such as auto and tool, kitchen and electronics, home accessories, lawn and garden, home goods, and more. While the line had been on Walgreen’s shelves for a few years, the company was looking to refresh the brand with a more modern look and feel that would appeal to a broader consumer base—specifically to make it cleaner, brighter, and more inviting to female consumers.
Stevens & Tate’s updated Living Solutions design has also been recognized through the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) as part of its Idea Supermarket® at the 2014 Store Brands Trade Show. The international trade association represents manufacturers and suppliers of store brand products to supermarkets, drug stores and mass merchandisers. Each year at the annual trade show, the Idea Supermarket® showcases the best and most innovative examples of what supermarkets, hypermarkets and retailers are doing with their own brands. The new Living Solutions packaging was one of the private label programs featured in 2014.
