Trafigura Selects TouchStar to Implement Oil & Gas Fleet Logistics Automation Solutions across North American Upstream Operations
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) March 13, 2015 -- TouchStar™, a multinational provider of logistics and mobility software solutions, and Trafigura, a leader in international commodities trading and logistics, have entered into an agreement to deploy automation solutions across the services that Trafigura provides to the upstream industry as well as its crude hauling operations in the United States.
Trafigura was looking for a sole source solution to automate field processes and surface data, in order to make better real time business decisions based on data collected throughout its well site service and crude hauling operations. TouchStar was an immediate leader because of its global presence and ability to provide a complete solution for Trafigura’s global and regional operations. By utilizing the TouchStar FleetAtlas Framework the company will now have access to real time visibility of critical business transactions as well as the ability to eliminate costly data errors from the field.
“Searching for an alternative to its existing paper intensive processes, Trafigura sought an integrated solution to eliminate paper from the delivery process and gain more oversight and control of its logistics and field operations,” explained Justin Grefe, Trafigura’s Regional Operations Manager for North America. “TouchStar was selected due to its extensive automation experience in the Oil and Gas industry, and its ability to be a ‘single source’ provider for Trafigura around the world.”
“Trafigura’s solution will be built on TouchStar’s FleetAtlas Framework,” said Peter Gibbs, TouchStar’s CEO. “Trafigura’s confidence in our technology, ability to deliver rapidly and industry experience provides us this opportunity and is an important milestone in TouchStar’s history. We’re looking forward to help improve Trafigura’s administration and fleet management processes.”
The project is on a fast track deployment schedule, levering TouchStar’s 8-Point implementation process, integrating multiple technologies across 25 different third party carriers contracted to Trafigura. The project is to be completed during 2015.
