Pearson to Host Cite Online Learning Conference

15th Annual Conference Will Feature Compelling Keynote Presentations, Sessions that Demonstrate Improved Learner Outcomes, Professional Training and Development Tracks, and Live and On-Demand Virtual Sessions

Pearson will host its 15th annual online learning conference, Cite, on April 28-30 in Orlando, Florida, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. The three-day conference brings together more than 500 online learning program executives, faculty and administrators, and professional training and development industry leaders. This year’s conference will feature compelling pre-conference sessions, keynote presentations, over 50 interactive sessions, including institutions that will demonstrate improved learner outcomes, in diverse learning categories focused on Online Program Management, Innovative Model & Pedagogical Approaches, Student Retention & Engagement, as well as the newly added Professional & Corporate Insights track. The 2015 conference will also include a live and on-demand Virtual Track featuring 15 webcasts over three days, and After Hours Sessions including “Driving Learning Outcomes, Together: Efficacy at Pearson.”

Cite provides a valuable professional development opportunity and exchange of information across a broad range of innovative education and professional training and development programs. Keynote speakers will include:

  • Alec Couros, an expert in social media in education and connected learning and associate professor of educational technology and media at the Faculty of Education, University of Regina, in Saskatchewan, Canada
  • Michael Fullan, a leading expert on educational reform and professor emeritus of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto
  • Allison Cerra, author and expert on technology and business transformation

In addition, Pearson is now accepting nominations for outstanding leaders working in either fully online or blended learning environments. Pearson presents these awards to honor educators who make significant contributions to online education and to encourage further innovation. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 20, 2015.
