Startup Community Organizer, Techstars Founder Brad Feld Headlines Seventh Big Omaha Tech Conference
Omaha, NE (PRWEB) March 16, 2015 -- Brad Feld, the man behind Techstars accelerators and venture capital firm Foundry Group, will speak at Omaha’s annual tech and entrepreneurship conference, Big Omaha.
Tickets are on sale for $399 today at BigOmaha.co. You can also find the full slate of speakers on the site. Ticket prices increase to $499 on March 20 and $599 on April 17.
Feld has also authored several books on building a startup ecosystem, including Startup Communities: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Your City.
According to Big Omaha Event Director, Caleb Ulffers, “Feld has made a huge impact on the nation’s startup ecosystem through the companies he’s built and invested in both through Techstars and Foundry Group.” He continued, “We’re thrilled to have him in to experience what we’re building right here in the Midwest.”
The conference is held at KANEKO in Omaha, Nebraska, May 6-8 and is surrounded by pop up events, after parties and great local food. Organizers expect 850 attendees and are putting a special emphasis on founders.

Marc Hemeon, co-founder of North, which he built with Digg founder Kevin Rose, is also slated to speak. Hemeon founded Watchville, an online news site dedicated to wristwatch news.
