Skycasters to Unveil Enhanced Satellite Internet VAR/VNO Offerings at Satellite Show in D.C.
Akron, OH (PRWEB) March 16, 2015 -- Skycasters, a leading provider of broadband satellite internet for businesses, is demonstrating its enhanced satellite communications technology, products and service plans for Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Virtual Network Operators (VNOs) at the SATELLITE 2015 Conference and Exhibition, taking place in Washington, D.C., on March 16-19. Professionals in satellite-enabled communications from companies around the globe will gather in the nation’s capital for one of the industry’s most important annual events.
“Skycasters is a superior business partner for VARs and VNOs because we offer superior satellite connectivity,” says Don Jacobs, founder of Skycasters. “This is true because we have invested millions in performance-enhancing infrastructure and technologies. We’ll be highlighting the most recent of these investments at SATELLITE 2015.”
According to Jacobs, these recent investments and infrastructure enhancements include two new 8.1-meter uplink antennas for higher gain and a stronger signal and a recent upgrade to iDirect’s industry-leading Evolution platform.
“Skycasters has spent $4 million over the last three years upgrading its teleport architecture and physical security,” says Don Jacobs, Skycasters founder. “We can do this because, unlike many satellite Internet providers, Skycasters owns, controls and staffs its own NOC and teleport. This gives us the freedom to build the kind of infrastructure our VAR, VNO and corporate customers really want and really need. Our mission at SATELLITE 2015 is to clearly lay out an ‘apples to apples’ comparison of what customers are really getting from their satellite Internet providers.”
Visitors to the Skycasters booth (#6029) will be provided with comparisons that touch on Committed Information Rates (CIRs) versus the more commonly promised up-to speeds; data throughput rates; remedies for latency, jitter and rainfade; and access to the top technical people who can actually solve problems.
“Naturally,” says Jacobs, “we believe that Skycasters has a better story to tell in all of these areas. Bottom line, we believe that Skycasters’ customers get a premium product at prices that actually save them money.”
Skycasters’ 2014 teleport upgrades are highlighted in a new video, which will debut at the company’s SATELLITE 2015 exhibit. Also featured at the booth will be Skycasters’ recently released 1.8-Meter MST (Mobile Satellite Trailer) which with the larger dish can achieve higher speeds and lower the chances of weather based outages. This is vital for customers with critical data like disaster response, telemedicine, and energy fields.
