TechSherpas Hosts Infrastructure Modernization TechClinic
Reston, VA (PRWEB) March 16, 2015 -- TechSherpas, a Microsoft Gold Partner for Learning Solutions, is hosting an Infrastructure Modernization TechClinic at the Sunset Learning Institute facility in Reston, VA, on Thursday, March 19, 2015. During this exclusive event, attendees will learn how to apply existing skill sets to Microsoft Azure and Windows Server 2012 in order to extend their datacenter with a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Companies still on Windows Server 2003, or those who are not aware of the full potential of modern infrastructure, will benefit most from this event - IT Implementers (Infrastructure Specialists, LOB Application Specialists, Desktop and End User Specialists) should attend.
This clinic contains 5 student labs on Microsoft Azure and Windows Server. It includes:
- Hands-on experience extending compute and networking resources using Azure
- Deep dives into key Azure scenarios including workload migration and networking
- Guidance for improving storage performance on virtual machines using Azure
- Updates on storage, networking and virtualization in Windows Sever 2012 R2
Registered participants will receive a $100 Azure credit on the day of the clinic, as well as a $200 Azure credit to use after the clinic.
“Microsoft is ending support for Windows Server 2003 in July 2015,” says Tanya Ruff, Marketing Manager for TechSherpas. “Those organizations that are still running Windows Server 2003 are not only missing out on the flexibility and efficiency of modern infrastructure, but are also at risk of compromising their business applications and facing other non-compliance related issues – migration needs to be a priority.”
This event will provide information on some of the risks associated with not migrating, and also how the modern infrastructure, Windows Server 2012 and Azure, will improve business processes through speed, resilience, cost-efficiency, and security.
