iCOMBAT Releases Profile Timeline and Friending System in Laser Tag Software
Whitewater, Wisconsin (PRWEB) March 16, 2015 -- iCOMBAT, the world-wide leader in laser tag equipment manufacturing, is breaking new ground within the laser tag industry. A major software update was recently released for The Barracks, which is the player profile and facility management part of the gaming software.
The first part of this update added a timeline to player profiles, showing off the latest information from within their community. These timelines show a variety of items, such as the latest news, their friend’s highlights, session summaries, achievements earned, and more. The timeline is a snapshot of what’s currently happening but also includes a personal leaderboard and the ability to reserve laser tag sessions.
The second part of this software update includes the ability to find and add other iCOMBAT registered players as friends. Once they have accepted, you can see their latest information on your timeline, including what sessions they are playing in, their latest accomplishments, and how they rank compared to your other friends. There are over 68,000 players currently registered and using these new updates.
“These new features in the iCOMBAT software are bringing the player community closer together, and adding an addiction component that is sure to drive new revenue to iCOMBAT laser tag facilities,” explained Eric Kopier, manager of iCOMBAT Waukesha. “Adding a social aspect similar to Facebook has finally brought laser tag software into the 21st century. Our players are already talking about it.”
The iCOMBAT Engine (ICE) gaming software is free to download and use with iCOMBAT laser tag equipment. The online Barracks component is also free to use, which lets facilities manage their business, and lets players create profiles, make reservations, and check their stats.
