“In today’s day and age, it’s hard to believe there are children out there with no food to eat. We are on a mission to help all those we can,” said Thompson.

Thompson Group Insurance announced the debut of its charity program designed to benefit the local community. The agency will work closely with nonprofit organizations in the area, to nominate a new beneficiary every 60 days. The idea is to create a campaign to help the elected individual, family, or programs with immediate support by bringing awareness to these very important causes.

To launch the program, Bruce Thompson, the agency’s principal, has chosen to introduce the campaign Be A Buddy: Backpacks For Hungry Children. This program’s mission is to provide the children living in food insecure homes that attend Bartow County schools, with weekend meals throughout the school year. These needy children will receive a backpack containing nutritious food to sustain them when school meals are not available.

“In today’s day and age, it’s hard to believe there are children out there with no food to eat. We are on a mission to help all those we can,” said Thompson.

Each new cause supported by the agency will accompany a detailed story about the elected cause on a designated donations page. The agency also owns a monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine, which reserves a full page featuring the campaign of the chosen cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue of the magazine can be accessed here: http://thompsongroupinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_46
