Inmar, a company that operates intelligent commerce networks, today announced that Farzad Mostashari, M.D., CEO of Aledade, will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2015 Inmar Analytics Forum, April 7-9 in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Mostashari is recognized as a visionary and thought leader in healthcare and was formerly National Coordinator for Health Information Technology for the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology. His presentation will be “Data Is Oxygen for Innovation - The Age of Data Coming to Health Care.”
Prior to his role at ONC, Dr. Mostashari was assistant commissioner for the Primary Care Information Project at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He facilitated the adoption of prevention-oriented health information technology by more than 1,500 providers in underserved communities. He also led the Center for Disease Control and Prevention funded NYC Center of Excellence in Public Health Informatics and an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality funded project focused on quality measurement at the point of care. Dr. Mostashari also oversaw the implementation ofthe HITECH act, the design, development and monitoring of the Meaningful Use Incentive program, the Regional Extension Center program, StateHealth Information Exchange Cooperative Agreements, and a large increase in Electronic Health Record adoption across the country.
Also appearing as a keynote speaker will be David Plouffe, former campaign manager for Obama for President (2008) and currently senior vice president for policy and strategy, Uber. Mr. Plouffe is a New York Times best-selling author and former senior advisor to President Barack Obama. The title of his presentation is “Big Data - Knowing Instead of Guessing.”
These two data experts will join a host of other top business professionals coming to the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter to present on 1) the practical application of data analytics and 2) how data can be used to stimulate collaboration between manufacturers, retailers and healthcare providers/systems.
