“The Bowles/MPE deal is representative of private equity’s rising interest in manufacturing as the U.S. is experiencing a resurgence of American-based manufacturing,” said Matthew Roberson, a Principal at SC&H Capital.
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) March 17, 2015
The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) – Maryland Chapter announced that the sale of Bowles Fluidics Corporation (“Bowles”) to Morgenthaler Private Equity (“MPE”) has been named the “Deal of the Year” winner for 2015. The Bowles/MPE deal was one of six finalists for the award out of dozens of nominated deals that were consummated in 2014.
SC&H Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor to Bowles in its sale to MPE. Headquartered outside of Baltimore, Md., Bowles is the premier developer and manufacturer of proprietary fluidic nozzles and related hose assemblies for automotive and non-automotive markets globally.
“We are honored to be the ACG 2015 Deal of the Year,” said Sri Sridhara, Chief Operating Officer at Bowles. “The Bowles/MPE deal is good for the company and for the State of Maryland, and we were thrilled with SC&H Capital’s advice in this important transaction.”
“The Bowles/MPE deal is representative of private equity’s rising interest in manufacturing as the U.S. is experiencing a resurgence of American-based manufacturing,” said Matthew Roberson, a Principal at SC&H Capital. “Bowles is a top manufacturer in the Mid-Atlantic and the acquisition by MPE will enable further success for the Company in Maryland. We are pleased that ACG recognized the importance of this deal.”
The award was presented at the ACG Maryland 10th Annual Deal of the Year Gala on March 11, 2015 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry in Baltimore, Md.
In addition to the Bowles/MPE deal, two additional 2014 SC&H Capital deals were named “Deal of the Year” finalists by ACG Maryland. Since 2007, SC&H Capital has been the exclusive financial advisor for 12 finalists and 5 “Deal of the Year” winners.
