OEConnection LLC (OEC), the parts e-commerce technology leader for original equipment manufacturers’ (OEM) distribution networks, announced that GM Holden Ltd, a General Motors subsidiary, has selected OEC to provide parts locating, marketing and backorder referral solutions to its dealers across Australia and New Zealand. Joining many of the world’s largest OEM dealer networks in the United States, Canada and Mexico, GM Holden Ltd represents the first manufacturer outside of North America to use OEC web-based solutions.

The implementation of OEC technologies in December of 2014 provided all Holden dealers across Australia and New Zealand with access to tools which enabled them to easily locate, buy, sell and market parts within their dealer network. In addition to 24/7 nationwide access to parts inventories to quickly and accurately locate needed replacement parts, an automated backorder referral solution will be available to help dealers extend their sales reach for in-demand parts. As a result, dealers will improve customer satisfaction by acquiring the parts they need to swiftly turnaround repairs.
