Polk County, Iowa Saves Taxpayers Money with Unisyn OpenElect® System

Iowa’s largest county partners with RBM Consulting and Unisyn to streamline voting services

“After careful due diligence we are excited to announce that we have partnered with RBM and Unisyn Voting Solutions to implement the state-of-the-art OpenElect® Suite of products for Polk County,” - Jamie Fitzgerald, Polk County Auditor and Commissioner

RBM Consulting, a leading election solutions and managed service provider, announced today it has been selected by Polk County, Iowa to replace the county’s existing election system. RBM’s service and Unisyn’s OpenElect® Voting System will provide Polk County’s 272,000+ registered voters and 177 precincts with the most reliable and secure voting experience.

RBM has saved our taxpayers money by streamlining our ballot printing and performing service on our equipment. Polk County purchased RBM Unisyn products OpenElect® Voting Optical Scan (OVO) for precinct tabulation and OpenElect® Voting Interface (OVI) for ADA and early voting. In addition, the county will be using OpenElect® Voting Central Scan (OVCS) for absentee tabulation and OpenElect® Central Suite (OCS) for election programming and tabulation.
