Cambridge Semantics Expert to Present on ‘Making Big Data Business-Friendly via Graph-Based Semantic Models’ at Enterprise Data World 2015
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. At Enterprise Data World, Marty Loughlin, vice president of financial services for Cambridge Semantics, will discuss how IT departments and business users can securely, quickly and flexibly link, manage and analyze their diverse data.
During his session on Making Big Data Smart by Using Business Friendly, Graph-Based Semantic Models, Loughlin will provide industry case studies that demonstrate how companies are realizing increased value from “smart data” solutions.
His presentation is set for March 30, 2015 from 7:30- 8:15 a.m. ET at the Grand Hyatt Washington located at 1000 H Street NW in Washington, D.C.
At Text Analytics World, Richard Mallah, director of unstructured and big data analytics for Cambridge Semantics, will conduct a session on Forensic Relationship Exploration in Financial Compliance.
Mallah will detail how investigating fraud, insider trading and other financial misconduct requires tying together long chains of often subtle and deeply buried information, much of which is unstructured. He will demonstrate how using the technique of semantic overlay can make complex relationships detectable with information mined from chats, emails, and call transcripts against a backdrop of analyst reports, news articles, and social media.
Mallah’s presentation is set for April 1, 2015 from 3:40 to 4:20 p.m. at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis located at 55 Fourth Street. Mallah will also participate in an “Ask the Experts” panel on March 31 from 4:50 – 5:35 p.m.
