WISDOM IS NOT MEASURED IN TEETH Joshua Polansky, MDC, Friday 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
As an in-house technician for a decade, Joshua Polansky has learned the keys to success in creating consistent, successful restorations for his doctors. After ups and downs, Joshua learned very quickly that in order to have success in the dental field, he must become a part of the restorative team. This does not mean to just make the restorations -- communication is the key to success, whether it be with the patient directly or the combination of doctor, patient, specialist, and technician. This lecture will discuss the communication tools required between doctor and technician, from the initial treatment plan throughout the case. Focusing on photographic communication, relationship-based communication, and restorative communication, Joshua will explain how to simplify the dental nightmares that plague many technicians and doctors when it comes to restoring cases difficult patients.
Joshua Polansky, MDC is a graduate of UCLA's Esthetic Program and has worked side by side with master technicians such as Olivier Tric, Michel Magne, and Ed McLaren. Currently, Joshua represents GC America, Inc. in lectures throughout the world and is on the editorial board of Inside Dental Technology and Inside Dentistry. Joshua's work has been published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, QDT, and The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.1.5 hours Scientific credit, with appreciation to GC America Inc.

This is the first time Evident has exhibited at this event. “It gives us a great opportunity to meet up with friends in the industry and introduce ourselves to lab owners that might not be aware of the benefits Evident can provide.” Said Rayne Verity, Sales and Marketing Manager for Evident. “We have a strong customer base in the South East but we still find dental laboratories struggling and trying to streamline their administrative processes in the lab manually, with an outdated system or with an accounting software system.”
Over the last 6 years, Evident dental lab software has quickly established itself as an industry brand and regularly participates in industry events like Vision 21 and Race to the Future to raise money for the Foundation of Dental Technology. Quickly growing its customer base the software company has doubled its employees in 2014 and plans to do the same again by the end of 2015.
