‘First ‘Spin the Globe’ Book to be Featured in Baker & Taylor Banner Ad
Burleson, Texas (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Author Edward Moldenhauer takes young readers on an educational journey to the Australian Outback with his 2014 book “Spin the Globe: The Incredible Adventures of Frederick von Wigglebottom: Dreamtime in Alice Springs” (published by Trafford Publishing).
In addition to its inclusion in Trafford Publishing’s Gold Seal program, Moldenhauer’s book will be featured in an online banner advertisement on worldwide media distributor Baker & Taylor’s “TS 360” site. “TS 360” is an innovative book-ordering system, newly developed by Baker & Taylor, featuring customized search results, product release calendars, live customer support and more.
“Dreamtime in Alice Springs” is the first of four installments in Moldenhauer’s Spin the Globe series. In this volume, Frederick von Wigglebottom – the series’ young narrator and explorer – introduces young readers to George, an Aborigine boy, and Madeline, a girl of European descent whose father is studying Aboriginal painting in Australia. George and Madeline lead Frederick through the Outback, teaching him about the town of Alice Springs’ landscape, including Uluru (Ayers Rock), the region’s animal population and the history of the George’s Arrernte tribal heritage.
Through his books, Moldenhauer hopes to inspire a sense of adventure and a thirst for knowledge in young readers.
“I think parents like me are looking for bedtime stories that are different from what is currently available,” Moldenhauer says. “I have a personal goal of instilling a desire to learn and experience the many facets of our world. Unfortunately, many children and adults will never be able to realize or visit these locations in person. Frederick’s goal is not only to entertain your children, but also to use his adventures as an opportunity to broaden their horizons, instill a desire for them to want to learn even more and for all of us to become good citizens of our planet.”
