Engler innovations has covered the folk acts and the blues acts they'd love to see. Here are 5 rock acts the creators of the innovative guitar hammer plan on flagging down for an interview later this week:
All people in their 20's arguably yearn for the days of 90's alternative. Adelaida brings us back to those days with their full-length, "Monolito," which was put out by Pinball Recordings in 2013. They plan on releasing their next record independently and have bright things ahead. See them on 3/18 at Valhalla.
All Them Witches has an incredibly unique brand, which can be found in the mysticism they bring to life with their music and performance. Their debut album was all tracked live, and provides a strong representation of what the band is about- a hypnotic and raw experience. Catch them on 3/19 at Bar 96.
As Philly residents, Engler Innovations were excited to see that the very familiar NYC-based Anthony D'Amato will be spending the week in Austin as well. His new record features Bon Iver drummer Matt McCaughan, Megafun's Brad Cook, and was produced by Josh Ritter's Sam Kassirer. 3/18. Holy Mountain.
You may know Arum Rae as her former alias, White Dress. The Brooklyn-native studied at Berklee on a scholarship and has opened for Willie Nelson, BB King, The Civil Wars, and Gary Clark Jr., among others. The Engle's creators hope to catch her for an interview!
Ben Ottowell has received praise from Rolling Stone and GQ magazine, and has songs placed in the popular show Sons of Anarchy. The performer, who incorporates slide guitars, had his first full-length released on ATO. Great things are on the way for his career, including a showcase on 3/19 at TenOak.
That covers five acts that the creators of The Engle plan to catch for an interview later this week. Check out the new guitar hammer at http://www.theengle.com
