Thousands of transvaginal mesh lawsuits (http://www.vaginalmeshlawsuit2015.com/) filed against C.R. Grand, is currently serving on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. According to a Pretrial Order issued on March 12, 2014, the Court has established new deadlines pertaining to Expert Discovery and Motions Practice for the Avaulta mesh claims selected for the proceeding’s third wave of bellwether trials. Among other things, the Order directs plaintiffs to serve expert disclosure and reports no later than March 19, 2015. C.R. Bard has been ordered to serve its expert disclosures and reports by March 26, 2015. (In Re: C.R. Bard, Inc., Pelvic Repair System Products Liability Litigation - MDL No. 2187)
“Our Firm is representing hundreds of women who allegedly suffered serious vaginal mesh complications following implantation of pelvic mesh marketed by C.R. Bard and other medical device manufacturers. We are pleased that discovery is moving forward in these bellwether cases, as jury decisions in these actions could provide insight into possible rulings in similar transvaginal mesh lawsuits pending against C.R. Bard,” says Sandy A. Liebhard, a partner at Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a nationwide law firm representing victims of defective drugs and medical devices. The Firm continues to evaluate lawsuits on behalf of women who were allegedly harmed by transvaginal mesh implants following surgery to correct pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.
Transvaginal Mesh Litigation
Court documents indicate that more than 10,500 transvaginal mesh lawsuits have been filed against C.R. Bard in the Southern District of West Virginia.
