International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to grow its Washington, D.C. office with the return of David Catania as a shareholder in the Health & FDA Business Practice. Catania focuses his practice on health care, government law and strategy, and public policy.
“Greenberg Traurig is committed to growing locally, nationally, and internationally, and that is why we’re so pleased to welcome David Catania back to our Washington, D.C. office,” said Laura Klaus, co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Washington, D.C. office. “Having worked for the betterment of the District and its business community, David has had his finger on the pulse of health care issues of critical concern. His experience with regard to not only health care but also education, tax, and workforce development issues will be invaluable to our clients.”
“We are excited to have David Catania rejoin our team,” said Nancy Taylor, shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Health & FDA Business Practice. “David’s experience in both the private and public sector will enhance the capabilities of our practice on a global scale to ultimately better service our clients’ needs.”

As an elected official, he worked to cut the rate of uninsured D.C. residents in half, increased children’s health care and brought attention to the HIV/AIDS epidemic by lowering AIDS-related deaths and decreasing new HIV cases.
Catania earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and B.A. from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service.
“The quality and experience of Greenberg Traurig’s Health & FDA Business Practice is unparalleled,” said Catania. “I look forward to working alongside the deep bench of talent here and to providing the highest quality service to our clients.”
