Savveo, an ad tech startup that focuses on the automation of buying and selling local media across channels, today announced a strategic partnership with Empower MediaMarketing that includes a substantial investment from the leading independent media agency.

Savveo and Empower are also jointly announcing a partnership with The E.W. Scripps Company, the fifth largest broadcasting group in the United States. The strategic partnerships accelerates each company's expanding focus on local programmatic TV ad buying.

Programmatic buying automates the advertising buying process across media channels, replacing the traditional RFP, negotiation and placement methods, while allowing for enhanced data driven decisions.

Cincinnati-based Empower is the nation’s fifth largest independent media buying agency with a roster of powerful relationships that it brings to the partnership. Together Savveo, Empower and E.W. Scripps are engaging key stakeholders to shape the growing programmatic ecosystem for offline media.

The initial focus of the partnership is developing world-class programmatic solutions for television and to that end, the firms have begun engaging major broadcast and cable companies.

In the second quarter of 2015, Savveo and Empower will execute local broadcast programmatic media with Scripps-owned TV stations.
