Harkcon, Inc. and ABS Group are proud to announce establishment of a Mentor-Protégé relationship under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU) program.

Harkcon, Inc. and ABS Group are proud to announce establishment of a Mentor-Protégé relationship under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU) program. Harkcon is looking forward to building a closer relationship with ABS Consulting who have agreed to share their extensive experience and expertise in a wide variety of areas including: management guidance, financial management, organizational management, business management/development, and technical assistance.

Harkcon and ABS Consulting have successfully worked together on a wide variety of contracts for government agencies including: U. S. Coast Guard, DHS Office of Infrastructure Protections, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, (BSEE) and GSA Performance Management and Continuous Process Improvement (PM/CPI) BPA.

In discussing the DHS Mentor Protégé program, John Duncan, Vice President for Government Services stated that “ABS Group looks forward to extending the productive and successful relationship we have built with Harkcon to deliver excellence to Government agencies. Harkcon’s training development and organizational services are industry leading and complement the range of services offered by ABS Group.”

The Mentor Protégé Program assists DHS through the establishment of long-term business relationships between large and small business contractors. The program is designed to motivate and encourage large business prime contractor firms to provide mutually beneficial developmental assistance to small businesses and to improve the success of contracts and subcontracts.
