Applegate Insulation Completes UL® Classification for Surface Burning Characteristics In Accordance with Standard ANSI/UL723

We’re proud to say our blankets and acoustical panels are the first and only cotton building products to receive a UL723 Classification.

Applegate Insulation is pleased to announce the completion of UL® Classification for surface burning characteristics only, of their Cotton Armor cotton fiber blankets. These UL® Classified products include Applegate blankets and panels from ¼” – 2” thick at densities up to 3.5 pcf and are the first and only cotton building products to receive a UL723 Classification.

Underwriters Laboratories® (UL®) is a global, independent, science safety company dedicated to promoting safe living and working environments, safeguarding people, products and places. Applegate Insulation’s UL® Classification was conducted in accordance with Standard ANSI/UL723, Tenth Edition, dated September 10, 2008 with revisions through August 12, 2013, “Test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials”, (ASTM E84-13A).
