Adrian Belew, a renowned guitarist and songwriter who has worked with the likes of David Bowie, Frank Zappa, The Talking Heads and Nine Inch Nails, created a new and exciting application to experience music. It’s called FLUX by belew and it takes all the songs and sounds that Adrian has created, deconstructs them, and puts them back together again in a form that’s never been heard. The application allows users to create something that’s totally unique – they’ll never hear the same song twice.
Users start with an intro to how the app works, then they press play, sit back and experience the magic. Within the song, users can look at the description, how it was made, and even what features are in it. Then if they like the song, they can save it to their favorites list or visit it again in their history tab. Special algorithms are used to make sure that the user never hears the same song twice. It's constantly changing the listening experience. Now, while the music plays, beautiful artistic images are displayed, some of which were created by Adrian himself. And when the user is on the iPad, these images become interactive.
