Coolsculpting Treatments now Available at all Ethos Med Spa Locations

By offering Coolsculpting at both locations Ethos Med Spa is able to provide this widely popular fat loss treatment to all of its current and future patients. Coolsculpting is the only FDA approved treatment for non-surgical fat removal around the stomach and flank areas. Coolsculpting is not a weight loss treatment; instead it targets and removes fat from the treated area of the body. The Coolsculpting procedure works by freezing the fat cells in these problem areas. The body is then able to reabsorb the fat cells through its natural metabolic process. The average Coolsculpting procedure lasts about one hour per treatment. During the treatment the Coolsculpting machine is placed on the selected area where it gradually freezes the fat cells to induce lipolysis, the breaking down of fat cells. After the fat cells are frozen the area is then massaged to help further break down the fat cells so they can be more easily absorbed by the body.
Results from Coolsculpting are not immediate and takes up to three weeks to present; the most drastic results are seen between 2-3 months after the treatment and continue up to 6 months after the treatment as the body takes time to dispose of the remaining fat cells. Some patients experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness and slight discomfort during the treatment.
After the procedure some patients encounter temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. These side effects go away a few days after the procedure.
