San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2015
Annually since 2009, the IIUG has run the most important conference of the year for Informix users. For 2015, IIUG Informix is back in San Diego.
Over 4 information-packed days, attendees will learn about IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS), 4GL, Genero, Informix Warehouse Accelerator (IWA), Informix TimeSeries, Informix NoSQL, as well as other products, technologies, and methodologies. Usage of Informix will be showcased with more than 20 speakers sharing their in-the-field experiences. The conference runs 6 concurrent technical tracks, giving participants plenty of options at any given moment.
“This year, we are excited to focus on the Internet of Things (IoT),” beamed Cindy Lichtenauer, head of the Conference Planning Committee (CPC). “Indeed, IBM is now positioning its flagship database in the field of Internet of Things. Informix offers unique technologies, which enable a shorter development lifecycle,” confirmed Tom Beebe, a renowned expert in Informix on the ARM CPUs.
After last year’s successful and well-attended conference in Miami, Florida, the conference is back on the West Coast, at the San Diego Mission Valley Marriott, where it was held in 2012 and 2013. “It’s good to be back home,” shared Stuart Litel, IIUG president.
This year’s dynamic keynote speaker will be IBM Fellow and Chief Scientist, Jeff Jonas, who is not only an expert on America’s national security and counterterrorism missions, but also has vast experience and knowledge of Big Data usage. The additional 70+ sessions led by other IBM Executives and industry leaders will provide education and insights on a variety of timely topics. The final day of the conference, Thursday, April 30th, will wrap up with a selection of IIUG’s popular 3.5-hour tutorials.
Big thanks to long-time sponsors, such as IBM and Kazer, as well as new sponsors, including Intel, who help make this event possible. More details about IIUG Informix Conference 2015 can be found at http://iiug2015.org.
