Washington, D.C. 2015 Real Estate Is a Millennial Buyer’s Market
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) March 19, 2015 -- The Washington D.C. metropolitan area has seen a two percent decrease in average dollar volume of sales in the month of February 2015 and prices are up one percent since this time last year.* However, the recent release of the 2015 National Association of Realtors (NAR) Home Buyer and Seller Generational Trends study shines a light on for the upcoming spring season stating, “Millennials are the largest group of recent buyers making up 32 percent of all buyers.”
Each month, Evers and Company’s Donna Evers, owner and broker, reviews the residential real estate statistics provided by the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS). Evers also is well-informed about real estate, staying ahead of prevalent news locally in the District and around the country.
“The spring season is the busiest time of year for our agents and we are excited to hear about NAR’s findings that millennials are making up a solid third of the buying market. We’ve continued to see that the metro area is a desirable location due to walkable neighborhoods and mass transit,” said Donna Evers. “Additionally, the NAR study found that significantly buyers do their research online, but purchase their home through a real estate agent, with millennials using agents the most. This is a thrilling statistic for Evers & Co. as our expertise continues to be important to buyers in this digital age and we are excited to help the next generation make their biggest investments,” she added.
Evers & Company, http://www.eversco.com, remains the largest independent, woman-owned and run real estate company in the metropolitan area, with 110 passionate and dedicated agents and four offices – two in the District, one in Bethesda/Chevy Chase and one in Virginia. Evers & Co. also has an international membership with Leverage Global Partners.
