Joint IED Defeat Organization Selects LMT to Continue Deployed Analytic Support
Vienna, VA (PRWEB) March 20, 2015 -- The Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) selected LMT to provide continuing deployed services associated with analyzing, assessing and predicting the effects of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and the impact these weapons have on military and civilian operations within a complex, ever-changing environment in Afghanistan. LMT Operations Research Systems Analysis (ORSA) support will continue to provide technical assessment, integration and deployed and non-deployed ORSA support to the J9.
“Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) continue to be a significant threat to deployed U.S. military forces and are the primary source of U.S. casualties,” said LMT President and CEO Lani Hay, a former U.S. Navy Intelligence officer and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. “It is an honor to contribute to the reduction of casualties by providing this mission critical support to the men and women deployed downrange.”
