We’re really excited about this update for our B2C customers and we’re proud that we can now offer that peace of mind to doctors or providers that we have a failsafe built into our application which will reduce the possibility of error.

WeCounsel Solutions, a provider of telehealth applications and technologies for healthcare practitioners, recently added the Web RTC feature to its B2C application as a way to increase the security and reliability of patient-doctor communications.
Josh Kaywood, Director of Business Development, says WeCounsel Solutions decided to introduce the Web RTC feature as a way to make cloud-based B2C video conferencing virtually fail-proof. With this failsafe software, there will be no dropped calls -- something that can literally make the difference between life and death for a patient.
"Traditional video conferencing is a simple plugin that needs to be continuously updated and has to be initially downloaded," Kaywood explains. "There are often connection issues due to the platform on which the plugin is run, or it may not be recognized by another user’s device. In the healthcare industry, if a patient is in need of immediate help -- whether they are feeling suicidal or have a medical emergency -- and the video conferencing fails due to a faulty plugin, that patient’s life is in jeopardy."
In addition to its failsafe technology, Web RTC provides faster connectivity speeds, no lag time and crystal-clear image. Web RTC's security features make it a safe, private way for patients to speak with their doctors or healthcare providers.
The Web RTC feature has already generated a highly positive response since WeCounsel Solutions first introduced it in February, Kaywood says. Currently, WeCounsel Solutions is one of the only companies in the entire teleheath industry to offer B2C Web RTC technology.
"So far, the new addition to our B2C application has won the company more deals with clients who have been very excited about what WeCounsel Solutions has to offer," he says. "We’re really excited about this update for our B2C customers and we’re proud that we can now offer that peace of mind to doctors or providers that we have a failsafe built into our application which will reduce the possibility of error."
