I feel that school nutrition professionals will benefit greatly from the easy to use website. Having the ability to enter and track Continuing Education will make compliance a cinch!
Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 23, 2015
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service released its final rule on professional standards in school nutrition at School Nutrition Association’s annual Legislative Action Conference in Washington D.C. on March 2, 2015. The final rule necessitates that all employees meet a minimum amount of training hours based on their position level. Additionally, there are increased education requirements that must be met when hiring new district nutrition directors.
New for the 2015-2016 school year, the professional standards rule requires school districts nationwide to record proof that their nutrition program is meeting the increased training requirements. Keeping these dynamic, specialized records for every employee creates an additional strain on school nutrition directors.
PrimeroEdge, a leading school nutrition software provider that helps districts nationwide manage everything from point of sale, to student eligibility applications, to inventory tracking, to online lunch payments, is releasing a groundbreaking solution to help ease the record-keeping burden.
This new module within the PrimeroEdge software suite, aptly titled ‘Team Work,’ allows school nutrition directors to easily track their employees’ continuing education units (CEUs) by simply logging into the PrimeroEdge online dashboard via their normal Internet browser.
PrimeroEdge is providing the record-keeping, employee management tool, Team Work, free to any state education agency or school district that would like a simple and paperless way to comply with the new professional standards regulations.
