Two Inspirata Strategic Advisory Board Members Inducted into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering’s College of Fellows
Boston, MA (PRWEB) March 23, 2015 -- Inspirata, Inc. today announced that two members of its Strategic Advisory Board (SAB), which includes some of the top thought leaders in the field of digital pathology, were inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) during a ceremony held during that organization’s annual meeting on March 15 at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C.
The Chair of Inspirata’s SAB, Dr. Balis, is Professor of Pathology and Director of the Division of Pathology Informatics at the University of Michigan’s Department of Pathology. He was recognized by AIMBE for “outstanding contributions to the fields of laboratory instrumentation, pathology bioinformatics and computational imaging in histology image search/analysis.”
Dr. Madabhushi was recognized for his “contributions in the development of computational imaging algorithms for automated analysis and interpretation of medical imaging data.” In addition to serving on Inspirata’s SAB, Dr. Madabhushi is Professor and Director of the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
