ASEOHosting Advises Site Owners Of Upcoming Mobile Ranking Algorithm Changes
Hudson, FL (PRWEB) March 23, 2015 -- ASEOHosting, a leading provider of SEO and multiple-IP web hosting, is warning webmasters that Google will soon implement changes to its ranking algorithms that will impact sites that are not optimized for mobile devices.
The mobile-friendly ranking algorithm, which will go live on 21st April, will consider mobile friendliness as an important set of signals for determining a webpage’s position in search engine results on mobile devices. Site owners who do not implement best practices to ensure that their sites offer a positive experience to mobile users are likely to find their traffic from mobile will decline significantly.
"Mobile search traffic should no longer be a secondary consideration for site owners," warns ASEOHosting’s Vice President of Customer Relations, Daniel Page, "Mobile web use now outstrips desktop web use, and Google doesn’t want to send such a large proportion of its users to sites that offer a bad experience. The writing has been on the wall for a long time, and site owners have had years to prepare, but those that haven’t been able to adequately update their sites for a mobile world will start to feel the pinch this spring."
According to Zineb Ait Bahajji from the Webmaster Trends, the mobile-friendliness algorithm will have a bigger impact than the Panda and Penguin algorithm changes, both of which left thousands of websites with lower search ranking and degraded traffic. Unusually, Google is giving site owners clear warning of its intentions and time to prepare.
ASEOHosting advises that site owners who are not yet ready for mobile consult Google’s guide to Mobile-Friendly Websites, and make use of the company’s Mobile-Friendly Test, which is likely to use the same factors as the new algorithm.
