The Lighthouse, Parent Company of Crescent Harbor Lighting, Joins the American Lighting Association
Kennebunk, ME (PRWEB) March 24, 2015 -- Representatives with The Lighthouse, parent company of Crescent Harbor Lighting (https://www.crescentharbor.com), announced today that the company has joined the American Lighting Association.
“We’re very excited about this,” said Tim Fossett, president and spokesperson for Crescent Harbor Lighting, which is the online arm of The Lighthouse, a family-owned lighting company founded in 1972.
The American Lighting Association is a trade association representing the lighting industry. Its membership includes lighting, ceiling fan and dimming control manufacturers, retail showrooms, sales representatives and lighting designers dedicated to providing the public with the proper application of quality residential lighting.
Crescent Harbor Lighting’s joining the American Lighting Association benefits customers because member retail lighting stores can work within the customers’ budget, share the customers’ design vision and can offer the customers choices for lighting indoors and out.
As an added bonus for customers, members of the American Lighting Association are certified lighting experts with experience and imagination.
Crescent Harbor Lighting, which was featured in Seacoast Online, specializes in a high-touch customer service approach to retailing lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and related items.
The company now works with over 400 active wholesale accounts that include small local distributors to national, electrical distribution companies with locations throughout the United States and Canada, as well as many well-known internet retailers, as well as property management companies and real estate developers across the country.
As a result, The Lighthouse has become one of the largest wholesalers of Broan and Nutone products in the United States. But, they also represent over 60 other lesser-known brands like Arroyo Craftsman, whose lighting reflects the early 20th century Arts and Crafts movement and Hubbardton Forge, whose products all begin in a Vermont blacksmith shop.
The Lighthouse offers a wide and unique line, which no consumer would find at a big box store. What's more, their inventory is not only exclusively high-end lighting, but also includes a complete product line of fans, central vacuum systems, doorbells, and home intercom systems.
“We have also been able to grow our business since 2007 by using the internet as a platform for going directly to the consumer across North America with specialty items that complement our existing product line,” Beth Fossett, Tim’s wife and business partner, said.
By combining the internet with the warehousing and logistics of their existing business to fulfill most orders, the Fossetts have launched five e-commerce sites targeting consumers directly with specialty items.
These websites include Crescent Harbor Lighting, Crescent Harbor Modern, Doorbells Direct, Towel Warmer Outlet and Crescent Harbor Kids.
