The Red Cross and CBD College partner for community blood drive

The American Red Cross and CBD College are teaming up for a blood drive on April 2nd from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the CBD College Koreatown Campus at 3699 Wilshire Blvd, 4th floor. The college will also have informational sessions, complimentary snacks and refreshments.

CBD College President Alan Heshel claims, “CBD College is thrilled to have the Red Cross on campus for this wonderful public event. As a non-profit healthcare career college, we are determined to bring awareness to the community through events like these. The Red Cross compliments our philosophy perfectly and we are excited to not only drive awareness of their cause, but also be able to showcase the career defining programs that our school has to offer.”

“March storms forced the cancellation of more than 200 blood drives, resulting in nearly 7,000 uncollected blood and platelet donations,” said Tony Briggs, external communications manager for Red Cross Southern California Blood Services. “This shortfall follows more than 26,400 uncollected blood and platelet donations in February due to severe weather across 27 states. We are very excited to partner with CBD College in our efforts to help patients in need.”
