We are very excited to expand our popular Cerazorb acoustical underlayment system into the wood flooring industry,” said Jamie Valee, Impacta product manager at Sound Seal.

Sound Seal, a leading manufacturer of acoustical and noise control products serving the industrial, architectural, commercial and construction industries, announced today the availability of its innovative underlayment solution, Cerazorb® Acoustical Underlayment for wood flooring. An industry favorite in the tile underlayment industry for over 10 years, Cerazorb underlayment is now available for floated or glue down wood flooring – offering acoustical performance of up to a 23dB decrease in an extremely lightweight system.

Cerazorb has been tested and approved for use with all engineered wood flooring materials. Featuring a hemi-crystalline thermoplastic material with an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio, Cerazorb exhibits outstanding energy absorption properties. With a density chosen specifically to balance impact resistance with compressive hardness, Cerazorb excels as a lightweight waterproof floor underlayment that limits noise intrusion. In addition to being 100% non-toxic and recyclable, Cerazorb also does not support microbial growth, making it an environmentally-friendly choice.

“We are very excited to expand our popular Cerazorb acoustical underlayment system into the wood flooring industry,” said Jamie Valee, Impacta product manager at Sound Seal. “It has been offered in the tile underlayment market for several years now with great success. We are confident that Cerazorb will be welcomed by wood flooring professionals as an easy to install, lightweight acoustical flooring underlayment solution.”

Packaged in 4x4 sheets to eliminate curl concerns, Cerazorb can be bonded to approved sub-floors using Sound Seal’s Impacta T-950 Bond Coat Adhesive. To learn more about Cerazorb Acoustical Underlayment for Wood Flooring, visit http://www.soundseal.com/impacta/cerazorb-for-wood.shtml.
