Sarah Larson, Vice President of Public Relations for integrated marketing and public relations agency Furia Rubel Communications, Inc., will serve as a panelist for Bucks County Community College’s 2015 Media Day.
The event will take place on Tuesday, April 21 at the college’s Newtown campus. The event, which includes two sessions, is free and open to the public. For more information, visit http://faculty.bucks.edu/rogerst/mediaday2015.htm.
Larson will serve on the panel session, “Building Careers in Journalism and Related Fields.” She will be joined by fellow panelists, Patricia S. Walker, Executive Editor of the Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer, and the Burlington County Times; Annmarie Ely, Media Relations and Publications Coordinator at Delaware Valley College; and Tom Sofield, Editor, Publisher, and Reporter at LevittownNow.com.
“Few fields today are evolving more rapidly than journalism,” Larson said. “As someone who has spent her career learning the rigors and rewards of journalism from both inside and outside its traditional boundaries, it’s gratifying to have the opportunity to share some of that knowledge with young people who are considering these career paths.”
Past speakers at this event have included BCCC alumnus and CBS Evening News Executive Producer Steve Capus, New York Times reporter Charlie Leduff, Fox News senior producer Jerry Burke and Philadelphia Inquirer reporters Bill Lyon, Tom Ginsberg, Michael Matza, Natalie Pompilo and Dawn Fallik.
Larson is an award-winning journalist and public relations and integrated strategic marketing professional who has spent a career facilitating communications among businesses, governmental leaders and the general public.
