SpringRole, the job referral recommendation engine that makes it easier for employers to reach the best candidates, typically those who are currently employed, reveals today the milestone that they are steadily adding 20,000 new users per day.
SpringRole crowdsources personal referrals by enabling people to refer within their own trusted network, making this source of talent reliable and scalable. They’ve built a social graph of 7.1 million passive candidates, those with existing jobs, by understanding how everyone is connected through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and even the phone book. SpringRole motivates users to get their friends jobs by paying them a $50 referral fee for each interview that is arranged.
“This is a remarkable milestone for SpringRole, marking the tremendous growth we’ve witnessed since launch six months ago, ” said Kartik Mandaville, co-founder of SpringRole. “We’ve worked endlessly to expand and grow our user base, and this is only the beginning of our penetration amongst the most engaging and well-respected employment networks. With the growth of our users and the employers we have on board, we’re excited to cast an even wider net and reach additional companies and potential employees.”
In less than six months, SpringRole has attracted such companies as Dollar Shave Club, PlayHaven, Delicious, and Ouya, among others, to help them find and place top talent.
Most recently, Ouya turned to SpringRole when traditional recruiting methods such as hiring professional recruiters proved ineffective in their quest to hire a CFO. In just three weeks, the SpringRole community referred over 205 of their contacts through the network and 18 of those referred applied for the CFO position. SpringRole screened those applicants and found eight of those potential new hires to be qualified. From there, Ouya went on to hire CFO Chris Lee, after one month of a paid membership with SpringRole.
“Springrole did in 30 days what an executive search firm couldn't do in 6 months -- find us a perfect candidate that *wanted* to work for us,” said Julie Uhrman, founder and CEO of Ouya.
SpringRole is a crowdsourced recruiting marketplace powered by referrals. It effectively and accurately drives engaged users to job postings and incentivizes users to refer their trusted friends, colleagues and peers. Many referrals arrive organically from social growth hacking initiatives. In addition, incentivized shares and ads on Google, Twitter, and Facebook drive traffic to the SpringRole website. From there, anyone can refer a friend or colleague and earn a commission. The company is backed by Science. Founded in 2014, SpringRole is based in Santa Monica, CA.
