Salt Lake City Bicycle Manufacturing Start-up Launches Bike Pedal to Change Bike Commuting Forever.
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) March 25, 2015 -- Loki Cycles, a Salt Lake City bicycle company, has revolutionized the commuter bike pedal with the Lux Pedal- a high-performance ride for the everyday bike commuter. By integrating an adjustable strap into the design of the pedal they get the performance of a clipless system from everyday shoes including flip-flops, high-heels, and boots.
Loki Cycles have been building custom made bicycles in Salt Lake City since 2011, and are excited to bring an innovative new product both to their local customers, and to customers across the globe using Kickstarter as a platform to launch the product.
The Lux Pedal is manufactured out of heavy-duty glass-packed nylon plastic and aero-space grade aluminum, making it stiffer and more efficient than the other commuter pedals currently available. The ergonomically designed nylon-webbed strap can be adjusted with a single hand on the fly, allowing the rider to easily modify the fit to accommodate shoes of all types and sizes.
Special attention has been made to the balance of the pedal to accommodate the strap, and allow for easy access for the rider. The tread pattern has also been designed to work with the new strap bringing the tread to the balls of the feet, from the traditional perimeter tread pattern.
Commuter bike pedals currently on the market are based on an old design inspired by BMX pedals from the ‘80s, and are often coupled with ill-fitting or flimsy straps and cages that smash and scuff the rider’s shoes.
The Lux Pedal will be released in the summer of 2015. Please see their Kickstarter campaign for more information: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lokicycles/the-lux-pedal-the-best-commuter-bike-pedal
