Evan Georgopoulos, a litigation shareholder in Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Boston office, will serve as a speaker for The Knowledge Group’s live webcast on Third-Party Corruption Risk Management: A Practical Guide for Decentralized Companies. The webinar will take place from 12 p.m.– 2 p.m. ET March 24, 2015.

This course offers decentralized companies an overview of the third-party corruption risks common to most decentralized or multinational organizations, case examples of anti-corruption enforcement in the United States and UK (i.e., how it went very wrong for some companies), and critical issues and best practices with respect to managing third-party corruption risk.

Specifically, Georgopoulos will lead the discussion on “Third-Party Intermediaries and FCPA Risk: Practical Guidance for Decentralized Companies,” which will address:

  • Ongoing Compliance Initiatives and Monitoring;
  • Most Effective Modalities in Practice; and
  • The Role of Technology.

Georgopoulos is an experienced white collar criminal defense and civil litigator. He focuses his practice on domestic and international compliance, internal investigations, business crime and securities defense, and civil litigation. He has represented corporate and individual clients in criminal and civil actions in federal and state courts, criminal and administrative investigations and arbitrations and mediations around the country, and in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and related compliance matters in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Georgopoulos has broad experience counseling corporations ranging from international pharmaceuticals manufacturers and industry leading retailers to a regional university, and individuals ranging from corporate board members to production level employees.
