Batchly Launches Amazon Web Services Test Drive Program For Enterprise Data Processing in Cloud
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) April 02, 2015 -- Batchly, a service that fully automates cloud infrastructure provisioning and management for enterprise data processing, announced today that it has used AWS to launch the Test Drive program, enabling customers to quickly and easily launch batch / data processing jobs on AWS resulting in significant cost & time savings.
The Test Drive is a private IT sandbox environment for customers to test and experience Batchly without intervention in a self-guided mode. The test drive is pre-configured with basic data so customers can experience all the available features of Batchly. The test drive illustrates two workloads (Image Processing workload where Batchly will create a thumbnail for 20000 images within 1 hour and PDF generation workload where Batchly will query a database, fetch the record and generate a PDF file). Batchly can be used for other use cases like OCR Processing, Financial Transaction Processing, Bill Generation, Map Reduce Jobs and any Batch / Data Processing workloads.
Batchly has a patent pending algorithm that not only automates cloud infrastructure provisioning but also makes it absolutely simple for customers to use AWS spot instances for huge cost savings. "AWS is a great platform for Enterprise Data Processing and AWS spot instances are the icing on the cake providing deeply discounted compute capacity. However, with the need to choose from 40 different instance types, integration between different services and having to take care of issues around security and compliance, AWS can be overwhelming for enterprise IT teams. Batchly provides a simple SLA driven model and abstracts AWS provisioning complexities making it extremely easy for enterprise IT teams to use AWS for their data / batch processing needs" said Jags Raghavan, Co-Founder & Head of Business Development at 47Line Technologies.
Batchly supports disk files, file streams and table data as data sources and works with any existing job processing code used within an enterprise. Jobs can also be chained for advanced workflows. Batchly has outstanding enterprise grade security with support for Virtual Private Cloud configurations and ability to define user roles and access management via the administration portal. Batchly also has API's to integrate into any existing job processing workflow / applications.
