Special Operations Golf Tournament of South Florida to Help Fund College for Children of Fallen Special Ops Warriors
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) March 24, 2015 -- Presented by Hyundai and 104.3FM “The Ticket”, the 2nd Annual Special Operations Golf Tournament of South Florida (SOGT) on May 3, 2015, will be a day of great golf, food, drinks, gifts and giveaways.
And, it supports one of the top nonprofit organizations in the nation!
Hosted by the Jacaranda Golf Club in Plantation, FL, players will hit the links and raise funds for the Tampa-based Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF). The SOWF ensures full funding for college for the sons and daughters of U.S. Special Operations Forces military personnel of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps who lose their lives in the line of duty.
This year’s tournament features a premier automotive presence, vehicle displays, lunch by Hurricane Grill & Wings, a Special Operations display, a tribute to the military and on-course contests, including one of four hole-in-one opportunities for a 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan, player gift bags, raffle prizes, auction, and awards dinner by Jacaranda’s excellent chefs.
Additionally, the two winners from The Special Operations Golf Tournament of South Florida will earn an all-expenses paid trip to compete at the Hyundai Invitational National Final in Las Vegas in October.
There, they will compete with the winners from the 49 other Hyundai Invitational tournaments for a shot to join the PGA champions at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii.
SOWF Executive Director, Steven McLeary, and a scholarship recipient are scheduled to attend, and media are invited.
