Other activities for the anniversary will include a summer loan offer, a checking account offer and a day-long 75 Random Acts of Kindness event that will be held on Wednesday, July 1.

The 75 Random Acts of Kindness event will be held on Wednesday, July 1 and will feature teams of Generations employees going out in the community and surprising strangers with random acts of kindness such as purchasing gas and groceries.
Additionally, in advance of Fiesta San Antonio, Generations has also developed a commemorative 75th anniversary medal. Medals are available for purchase at any Generations branch and all profits benefit the San Antonio Food Bank, the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center and Haven For Hope.
Generations was founded on July 11, 1940 by a group of Fire, Police and City employees who felt that everyone in the community should have access to fair and equitable financial services. Originally established as San Antonio City Employees Federal Credit Union, the credit union changed its name in 2008 to reflect its service to the community as a whole.
