One-day conference to focus on the plunging price of oil, trends, challenges, and technological and design advancements in the offshore service vessel industry.

Challenges and opportunities in the offshore service vessel industry will be discussed at the upcoming WorkBoat OSV Summit in Houston on April 2.

The agenda for the one-day Summit will feature several topics relevant to offshore service vessel operators and builders. This includes “Challenges & Opportunities in the OSV Industry” panel and roundtable discussion featuring Whitney Brady, manager, Oil and Gas Division-USA, Faststream Recruitment Group; Matt Fuhrman, managing director, Core Group Resources; William J. Lind, vice president, operations, Vard Marine Inc.; and Andrew Meyers, manager, Douglas-Westwood Inc.

The panelists will discuss the many challenges facing the OSV and energy industry, from depressed oil prices and capex cuts, to how to survive in the current down market.

Other topics featured in the one-day Summit include, “What’s in Store for the Offshore and OSV Markets?” and “Design Trends Panel Discussion & Roundtable.”

Also, Dr. Kent Moors, executive chair of the Global Energy Symposium (GES) and an internationally recognized expert in oil and gas policy/finance and risk assessment, will deliver the Summit’s Keynote Address.
