Automotive leaders meet to discuss secure vehicle to vehicle communications, connected cars

Security Innovation, an authority in automotive and software security, announced today that it will be participating in the Automotive Cyber Security Summit in Detroit, MI., March 30 - April 2, 2015.

Mark Peters, Security Innovation’s Director of Automotive Business Development, will chair the first day, focused on the topic of vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communications. Peters will speak at the conference Monday, March 30, 2015 at 9:45 am.

The Automotive Cyber Security Summit, organized by the International Quality & Productivity Center will facilitate discussion between auto manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and industry leaders on the topic of vehicle security.

“As automobile manufacturers include more connected services and there is broader adoption of standard components in cars, they become a more attractive target for hackers,” said Pete Samson, vice president of embedded security, Security Innovation. “Conferences like this bring the industry together to discuss actionable solutions that address real challenges in the emerging automotive cybersecurity industry,” Samson concluded.
