(PRWEB) March 27, 2015 -- Planet Aid is launching an Earth Day Art Contest open to students in grades one through five all over the world. Participants can submit their original work of art relating to the International Earth Day theme, “It’s Our Turn to Lead,” by the April 21 deadline.
Five global winners will have their work published in the Planet Aid Post (the nonprofit’s newspaper), and Planet Aid regional offices will also be offering additional prizes for local participants.
In addition to protecting the environment by recycling used clothes, Planet Aid supports development projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Beneficiary students from some of these projects in Angola, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique will be participating in the Earth Day Art Contest.
