Jackson Lee Underwriting to Cycle to the 2015 BIBA Conference
London (PRWEB UK) 31 March 2015 -- Jackson Lee Underwriting, the specialist provider of niche insurance products to brokers, today announced that a team of seven colleagues will cycle to the BIBA conference in May. Beginning at their London offices in Leadenhall Street, they will travel over 200 miles in three days, arriving in Manchester before exhibiting at the BIBA Conference and meeting with brokers.
Jackson Lee Underwriting is BIBA’s official scheme provider for GAP insurance. They have specialist underwriting experience of this market as they have offered GAP to brokers for over 15 years.
Team Jackson Lee Underwriting will start their cycle ride in London on 10th May and finish in Manchester on 12th May. They will then attend the BIBA Conference, which begins on the 13th May. The ride will raise money for registered charities BRAKE and Honey Pot. BRAKE promotes road safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Honey Pot works with vulnerable children and young carers between five and twelve years of age, by providing respite care and outreach programmes.
The BIBA conference is the UK’s flagship event for the insurance industry. It attracts over 5,500 attendees, including nearly 3,500 brokers.
“Attending the BIBA conference is important for us as we provide BIBA approved GAP policies. It also allows us to meet with many of our brokers over the two days,” said Mark McLaren, Joint Managing Director. “This year, we wanted to do something a little different, and cycling to the conference seemed like a good idea. On the positive side, it allows us to raise money for charity. However, the negative is that it will test our team’s stamina during the ride and throughout the BIBA conference.”
