OSV One-Day Summit open to Vessel Operators & Builders on April 2 in Houston
Portland, Maine (PRWEB) March 30, 2015 -- WorkBoat brings a one-day Regional Summit to Houston this week targeted at the offshore service vessel industry. The event, focused on the OSV outlook, industry changes and market trends, will be held at the Sheraton Suites Houston (near the Galleria), on Thursday, April 2. Registration is still open for the Summit, and industry professionals are invited to register before or on the day of the event.
WorkBoat helps produce the annual International WorkBoat Show, publishes its monthly magazine and produces reports and e-media products. Its Regional Summits are one-day conferences that address topics that affect a specific region and market sector, and allow for in-depth discussion and solution-driven discussions in a roundtable setting. WorkBoat will host three of these focused Summits in 2015, starting with an inland waterways event in New Orleans on March 31, the OSV Summit in Houston on April 2, and another in the fall of 2015 in Seattle.
After a networking breakfast, Dr. Kent Moors, executive chair of the Global Energy Symposium (GES) and internationally recognized expert in oil and gas policy/finance and risk assessment, will kick off the discussions with an engaging keynote presentation. Moors will address the uncertainty of oil prices, where the new wave of lower prices for oil-related products will go, and what it means for the energy industry and our economy.
Other topics to be covered in the one-day Summit include, “What’s in Store for the Offshore and OSV Markets?” and also “Design Trends” and “Challenges & Opportunities in OSV Industry.” Speakers confirmed for the Summit include: Whitney Brady, group manager, Oil and Gas Division– Americas at Faststream Recruitment; G. Allen Brooks, managing director at PPHB LP; Matt Fuhrman, managing director, Core Group Resources; William Lind, vice president of operations at Vard Marine; Andrew Meyers, manager with Douglas-Westwood Inc.; Richard Sanchez, marine market analyst at IHS Petrodata; and Stefan Wolzcko, business development manager with Guido Perla & Associates Inc.
