US Storage Centers Expands Presence in Southern California

US Storage Centers announced it has acquired the self-storage facility located at 9818 De Soto Avenue, in Chatsworth, California—a neighborhood located in northwestern Los Angeles.

US Storage Centers announced it has acquired the self-storage facility located at 9818 De Soto Avenue, in Chatsworth, California—a neighborhood located in northwestern Los Angeles.

“We’re excited about this new acquisition and we look forward to providing the community of Chatsworth with a clean, safe, and professional self-storage experience,” said CEO Charles Byerly.

This new addition to US Storage Centers’ portfolio has eight buildings with 767 storage units and 89, 655 rentable square feet. The buildings are single story with predominantly drive up spaces. Electronic gated keypad entry, security cameras throughout the property, and an onsite manager are all part of the security features at this facility.

“It’s rare in the world of self storage when a true core asset of this caliber comes to market,” said Executive Vice President Mark McGilvary. “It has a strong location in terms of visibility, accessibility and drive-by traffic; it’s located in a strong market with outstanding density and key demographics; and it is a well-constructed single-story facility with mostly drive-up units.”
