Author Barbara J. Young has just achieved her dream of joining the fascinating world of writers and storytellers who are able to transport their readers to a different realm. With her recently released book, “Life Forever Under the Sun” (published by Xlibris), Young captivates her audience with vivid images of a young boy who perseveres in the midst of these tremendous crises.
As a young boy, Alberto suffers severe trauma after losing his mother in what seems to be a hit and run accident. His troubles escalate when new evidence puts his father on trial for homicide in the same investigation. Fortunately, the boy's grandfather, Tomas, steps in and helps to hold the young child's life together in a string of events that culminate just after Alberto's thirteenth birthday.
With splashes of charming coastal scenery, the story transports readers down a steep staircase, enabling them to travel along with Alberto on his shoreline walks. The reader will find themselves enchanted by the personification of the ocean, engulfed in the suspenseful courtroom scenes, and entranced by the pendulous relationship of caregiver between the boy and his grandfather.
