In 2014 the Zühlke Group achieved a double-digit increase in sales as well as in the number of employees. The group grew revenue to £80M (119M CHF) and by the end of the year employed approximately 700 staff.
The realignment of the organization with the goal of positioning the company as a cross-technology solution provider with a high level of industry expertise was successfully completed. With the new structure in place Zuhlke can now more quickly and efficiently assign any of its product or software engineering and business consulting specialists to any customer, thereby reducing delays for customers and increasing staff utilization.
In the UK a new competence centre was formed for clients requiring digital services that focuses on the needs of the software end-user, that is staffed with specialists in usability engineering and user-experience (UX) as well as modern web application technologies.
All companies in the group achieved revenue growth in the 2014 financial year and made a positive contribution to earnings.
Zühlke Ventures maintained its successful strategy of actively developing existing start-ups, thus helping them to deepen important long-term partnerships both on an operational level and with investors.
"We are very satisfied with our results and with the realignment of our company even more closely matched to the needs of our customers.” said Wolfgang Emmerich, CEO and Chairman of Zuhlke Engineering Ltd.
2015 - the year of innovation projects
In the current financial year, the group plans to systematically expand its portfolio of services. Innovation projects are at the centre of this growth strategy. Two areas of recent investment are big data and analytics, i.e. collecting, processing and utilizing digital information, and the Internet of Things (IoT). In Zühlke's view, these areas provide excellent potential for future growth.
