Wimbledon Health Partners Recognizes National Doctors’ Day
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) March 30, 2015 -- Wimbledon Health Partners, the leading on-site diagnostic testing organization which provides vascular, echocardiogram and NCV testing, is proud to lift up and recognize all national affiliated physicians in observance of National Doctor’s Day.
“Our physicians are valued each and every day around our office, but on this day, we like to publicly acknowledge physicians across the country for the important role they play in healing patients, promoting overall health and making a difference,” stated Mitchell Rubin, Chief Executive Officer of Wimbledon Health Partners.
National Doctors’ Day is always observed on March 30, the anniversary of the first use of general anesthetic in surgery. The first Doctors' Day observance was on March 30, 1933, in Winder, Ga. Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, decided to set aside a day to honor physicians. This first observance included the mailing of greeting cards and placing flowers on graves of decreased doctors. The red carnation is commonly used as a symbolic flower for National Doctors' Day.
